Preventive Pet Care

At AAH, we strive to provide education on the importance of vaccines, prevention and control of internal and external parasites as well as encourage overall wellness for our patients.

Spay and Neuter

Did you know your pet would be healthier if spayed and neutered? Spaying reduces the risk of mammary cancer and neutering significantly lowers the risk of prostate and testicular cancer. More than 15 million animals in shelters are euthanized each year due to over population.

Veterinary Dentistry

Periodontal disease can not only cause stinky breath, it can lead to kidney, heart and liver disease. Bacteria in the mouth can travel throughout the body and cause infection. This is why we recommend annual dental cleanings. If your pet has fractured a tooth, dental sealants may be an option.

Avian Medicine

Birds are magnificent creatures that require a special type of maintenance and care. Many bird owners do not realize that birds should regularly see a veterinarian too. Whether its nail or beak care or blood work, AAH knows what is needed for your pet bird.

Testimonials

It's so nice to walk in and have the staff know you and your pets. We moved our two old pups from Banfield (had used amigo for saying goodbye to our military working fog, and for Our new adopted shelter dogs), and I'm glad I did. Amigo takes the time to help you file insurance paperwork and to get to know your pets. They realize they are more than just a $$ sign, they are a family member.
